Flooding from the nor’easter has now reached North Jersey, with dramatic video from Edgewater showing water covering the parking lot of the Comfort Inn along River Road and partially submerging several vehicles.
Footage shared by FreedomNews.TV showed guests wading through floodwater while carrying their belongings as water surrounded parked cars outside the hotel.
Edgewater Under Coastal Flood Warning
Edgewater sits along the Hudson River in eastern Bergen County, an area now under a Coastal Flood Warning through Sunday evening.
The National Weather Service says vulnerable waterfront areas in eastern Bergen, Hudson, eastern Essex and eastern Union counties could see one to two feet of inundation above ground level, especially around high tide.
The warning specifically notes that low-lying roads, parking lots, properties and waterfront areas may flood, with the highest water levels expected during Saturday morning and possibly Sunday morning high tides.

The Edgewater video adds a new dimension to the storm’s impact.
Earlier Saturday, some of the most dramatic flooding was concentrated along the Jersey Shore, including Surf City, Manasquan, Wildwood and Sea Isle City.
Now, footage from Edgewater shows that the nor’easter is also affecting communities along the Hudson River in northern New Jersey.
The Comfort Inn Edgewater on Hudson River is located at 725 River Road, directly along the waterfront corridor.
Strong Winds Add to the Risk
The flooding comes as northeast New Jersey is also under a Wind Advisory, with north winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts reaching around 45 mph in some areas.
The National Weather Service warns that strong winds could bring down tree limbs, cause isolated power outages and make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.
With additional high tides still expected, officials are urging residents to avoid flooded roads and low-lying waterfront areas.
The scene in Edgewater shows that the storm’s effects are no longer confined to the Jersey Shore — flooding is now affecting Bergen County and communities along the Hudson River as well.
