TEANECK, NJ — Families, community organizations and residents from across New Jersey are invited to gather in Teaneck this Saturday for the 7th Annual Peace Festival, a multicultural community event focused on music, food, family activities and bringing different communities together.
The festival will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Milton A. Votee Park in Teaneck. It is organized by Peace Islands Institute NJ and is designed as a nonpartisan, family-friendly celebration centered on community, friendship and mutual respect.
The afternoon will include multicultural live music and dance performances, children’s activities, art and face painting, food and desserts, raffles, cultural and community organization showcases, and a community bike ride and walk.
This year’s festival is being held in recognition of the International Day of Peace and carries the theme “Invest in Peace — For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day.” Organizers say the goal is to create a space where people from different backgrounds can meet, celebrate and build stronger community connections.
Last year’s Peace Festival also took place at Votee Park and brought together hundreds of residents and more than 20 partner organizations for performances, cultural booths and family activities.
The event is open to families and visitors from throughout New Jersey.
