Actor Robert De Niro joined activists and survivors at a New York City event Sunday calling for the full release of government records related to Jeffrey Epstein.
De Niro spoke in Washington Square Park beside the organizers’ “Trump-Epstein Memorial Library Mobile,” a traveling display containing printed material from publicly released Epstein-related records.
During his remarks, De Niro sharply criticized President Donald Trump and accused his administration of withholding information connected to Epstein.
He asked, “What is he hiding?” while calling for the remaining records to be made public.
De Niro Focuses on Transparency and Survivors
De Niro said the issue should center on accountability and on the people who survived Epstein’s abuse.
He described the sexual abuse of children as among the most serious crimes and argued that the public deserves greater transparency about what government records contain.
His remarks were political and accusatory, and any claims he made about Trump or the administration should be understood as De Niro’s allegations and interpretation, not as proof of criminal wrongdoing.
Event Featured Survivors and Activists
The gathering also included Epstein survivors, activists and several public figures who have been pressing for the release of additional documents.
Organizers said the mobile exhibit is intended to keep public attention on the Epstein case and encourage the release of more government records.
The event comes amid continuing public debate over what Epstein-related material should be released, what should remain redacted to protect victims and what the documents actually establish.
Mentions in Epstein Records Do Not Establish Criminal Conduct
Epstein-related records contain the names of many public figures, associates, employees and people mentioned in testimony or contact records.
A person’s name appearing in such records does not by itself establish involvement in Epstein’s crimes.
That distinction is important when reporting on claims made at political events or rallies involving the files.
