Throughout the summer, residents and visitors can enjoy free kayaking on the Hudson River through the Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse, a volunteer-run nonprofit located on the Hoboken waterfront.
The program is open to both beginners and experienced paddlers. Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets are provided free of charge, and volunteers are on site to help first-time participants get started. No previous kayaking experience is required.
The boathouse is located at Maxwell Place Park (1100 Sinatra Drive North, Hoboken), offering stunning views of the Manhattan skyline while paddling along one of the most iconic waterfronts in the region.
