Early voting began Saturday, October 24, across New Jersey, with more than 170 polling centers opening their doors ahead of the November 3 general election.

Voters are casting ballots in races for the U.S. Senate, all 12 of New Jersey’s seats in the House of Representatives, and county and municipal offices.

Some voters have taken to social media to describe lines forming at polling locations, although statewide reports of unusually long waits have not yet been confirmed.

According to New Jersey Monitor, voting was underway Saturday at locations including Kearny Town Hall.

Early voting continues through November 1. Polling centers are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registered voters can cast their ballots at any designated early voting location within their county of residence.

New Jersey introduced in-person early voting in 2021, and participation has grown significantly in recent elections. More than 1.17 million voters used the option during the 2024 presidential election.

Official polling locations and voting information are available at Vote.NJ.gov.
