Gas prices are climbing again in New Jersey, with the statewide average for a gallon of regular gasoline rising by about 5 cents in just one day.

According to AAA figures cited by News 12 New Jersey, the average price has reached approximately $4.36 per gallon, adding another increase to what has already become a costly stretch for drivers across the state.

A five-cent overnight jump may sound small, but when prices are already above $4 a gallon, even modest daily increases are quickly felt by commuters and families who depend on their cars for work, school and everyday errands.

The rise also comes at a time when fuel prices remain under close watch nationwide, with global oil markets, refinery conditions and seasonal demand all influencing what drivers ultimately pay at the pump.

For New Jersey motorists, the latest increase is another reminder that gasoline prices can move quickly — and that even a few cents added in a single day can translate into noticeably higher costs over the course of a week.
