The Sussex County Sunflower Maze in Sandyston has reached full bloom, giving visitors a limited window to see more than one million sunflowers at their peak.

Located at Liberty Farm, the popular seasonal attraction features more than 150 varieties of sunflowers in different colors, shapes and sizes. Farm officials said the fields reached full bloom on September 8, with peak conditions expected to continue for about a week.

This year’s maze also includes a large patriotic design celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. From above, the field forms the words “250 AMERICA – LIBERTY – FAITH” along with a large peace symbol.

Visitors can also find weekend food trucks, craft vendors, live music, sunset yoga and other special activities throughout the season.

The Sussex County Sunflower Maze is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through September 21 at Liberty Farm, 101 Route 645 in Sandyston.
