Two people were killed in a violent head-on crash in Mays Landing, New Jersey, involving a stolen Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon carrying four teenagers.

According to Fox News, the luxury SUV had allegedly been stolen before police encountered it. The teens are accused of trying to evade officers before the vehicle later traveled on the wrong side of the road and crashed head-on into another car.

The two people in the other vehicle were killed in the collision. Authorities identified them as Alice Stilwell, 67, and Robert Barr Jr., 54, both from Egg Harbor Township.

Four teenagers were inside the stolen G-Wagon. One of them is 18 years old, while the other three are minors. They are facing multiple charges connected to the stolen vehicle, the attempt to evade police and the fatal crash.

Authorities are still investigating the exact sequence of events and have not publicly confirmed which teen was driving at the moment of impact.

The crash has drawn attention because two people who had no connection to the alleged theft lost their lives in a matter of seconds.
