NORTH JERSEY — A community Facebook post shared Sunday morning is warning residents to stay alert after two officers wearing ICE Police markings were photographed inside what appears to be a warehouse or workplace.
The post, shared through the Vecinos De Garfield NJ community and circulated in other North Jersey groups, tells residents in Spanish to be careful and says agents are going inside workplaces while searching for people. A related Facebook search result carries the message, “Neighbors, look where they are today,” followed by a warning about ICE activity.
The photograph shows two officers walking through aisles containing boxes and merchandise inside a large commercial or warehouse-type space.
However, the post does not clearly identify the exact location where the photograph was taken. Hashtags attached to the circulating post reference Paterson, Passaic, Bergen County and immigration, but those tags alone do not establish where the officers were photographed.
