A bizarre highway robbery in Egypt has gone viral after thieves were filmed stealing frozen chicken from a moving refrigerated truck in a scene that looked more like an action movie than a real crime.

The incident happened on August 25 on the Cairo–Ismailia Desert Road. According to Egyptian authorities, a pickup truck pulled up behind the refrigerated vehicle while both were still moving. Members of the group then opened the rear of the truck and began transferring boxes of frozen poultry into their own vehicle, apparently without the truck driver initially realizing what was happening.

The truck driver later told investigators that about 105 kilograms of frozen chicken had been stolen — seven packages weighing roughly 15 kilograms each.

Video of the unusual theft quickly spread across social media, where users compared the operation to a scene from the Fast & Furious movies.

Egyptian police later identified six suspects connected to the robbery. Authorities said three suspects were arrested, while three others were killed during an armed confrontation with security forces. Police also recovered the pickup truck, weapons and stolen poultry.

What began as a strange viral video ultimately turned into a much more serious criminal investigation — but the footage of thieves transferring frozen chicken between two moving vehicles remains one of the most unusual highway thefts caught on camera this week.
